The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences is the largest organisation of broadcasters in the world with over 500 members from nearly 70 countries. Every year, the International Emmy® Awards recognise excellence in programming produced outside of the United States.

 
Three Emmy® Awards for Interactive Program, Interactive Channel and Interactive TV Service were presented at MIPTV 2008, in partnership with Reed MIDEM. Through these awards The Academy celebrated a significantly growing sector of the television industry. International Interactive Emmy® Awards winners were announced in Cannes at a VIP Gala Ceremony hosted by Brian Conley.
